Craig Sumner's last Amateur Boxing MatchCraig Sumner fought his last fight as an Amateur Boxer at St Bernard Catholic Mens Club in Preston vs Jack Swarbrick. In what was a good scrap, Jack won on points but many people thought Craig took the fight. Coach Ed said "I was doing some judging just before Craig fought and I would have given the fight to Craig. I think he landed the cleaner shots and put up a solid defence. It was a big improvement from Craig and he has improved loads in a short period of time. He has to finish his Masters off now so we may miss out on the ABA's but the plan is to turn Craig professional now and hopefully get him a fight by the end of the year. Craig's not getting any younger. He has learned a lot recently as an amateur and we now believe that it is time to turn over and carry on learning in the professional game".
