Azeem Khan vs Dan Khan

In the 61kg contest contested over 3 x 2 minute rounds, Azeem and Dan put on the fight of the night. Both boxers in their first contest came out punching straight from the bell. Azeem set a very high pace and kept the pressure on all fight. Byerden House Socialist Society Club & Institute was packed with fans and was extremely hot. Both fighters did extremely well to fight non stop in the heat. At the end of 3 rounds Dan Khan of Roaches Gym was awarded a unanimous pts decision. Coach Ed said "Azeem fought this guy that no one else would fight. The club was packed and it was double hot. Azeem's opponent had sold loads of tickets. I told Azeem to start very fast just to catch his opponent off guard and to show him that he was ready for a proper fight. Azeem put up an awesome fight. I'm extremely pleased with his performance".
